The Everest Base Camp trek is the most popular of all treks with the obvious attraction of taking you to the base of the highest mountain in the world. The base camp on the Nepalese side of the mountain is at 5364m. Because of its popularity, there is a big choice of accommodation from simple tea houses to luxury lodges. The trek passes through the fascinating Sherpa capital of Namche Bazar and the region is famous for its Sherpa villages and monasteries.
This is another classic trek relatively shorter and can be completed in as little as 14 days. The trek starts at Nayapool and takes us to the Base Camp of the Annapurna South. The view along the trails is superb. Walking slowly and passing through terraced farms we reach Machapuchere base camp.
This trek was officially opened to tourists in 1991, but mountaineering expeditions have long had access to the area. Though the Larkya La is not a difficult pass, the trek around Manaslu is harder than most in Nepal. In many places the walls of the Budhi Gandaki valley are perpendicular,
Ghorepani-Poon Hill trek is a relatively easy and very popular trek that winds through picturesque rural ethnic hamlets, and forests of rhododendron and bamboo. Poonhill (3200 m) is the highest point of the trek for a magnificent view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and experiencing sunrise over the Himalayas.
This trek is uniquely designed to provide the best feeling of nature, beautiful villages, terrace with seasonal crops like mustard and wheat and it offers magnificent mountain views. Through Sundarijal we start trekking following dense forest, villages, terraces and again oak rhododendron forest. Interacting with local people away from the hubbub of city will add
This is one of the greatest classic treks taking trekkers through a huge variety of landscapes from lush green paddy fields, sub-tropical rainforest, deep valleys, and wooded alpine slopes to an arid semi-desert similar to Tibet and the deepest gorge in the world. The climax of the trek is the Thorong La Pass (5416 m).
This trek is suited for those who are interested in experiencing the lifestyle of the mountain people and deserted plateau above the tree line and sharing the trail with caravans of donkeys and ponies traveling to Mustang & other areas in the far north of Nepal. The temple of Muktinath with 108 water ponds emerging holy water is equally sacred to both Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims.
Panch Pokhari means the group of five holy ponds / lakes. This is just northeast of Kathmandu toward snow wall. The beautiful Himalayan view with distinct culture is the most attraction of this trekking. During the rest of our 12 days trip, you will observe the different ways of life, culture and come in contact with the people ...
The Everest Panorama Trek is easier and shorter than base camp trek and lasts for about 10 days. The trek starts after a flight to Lukla and takes you via Namche Bazaar to Tengboche with its famous monastery at 3867m. The area is popular because of the views of Mount Everest and it well provided for with a variety of tea houses and lodges.
Sirubari tour is presented as a role model of village tourism in Nepal at an altitude of 1700 meters. This striking Gurung village of Sirubari lies in the Southwestern part of Pokhara in Syangja district. It is relatively easy to visit through the Pokhara valley, a busy and accessible tourist center. This village won the PATA Gold Award 2001 in the heritage category.
Mt. Kailash claimed to be the pinnacle of the Hindu religious conglomeration is one of the highest mountains in Tibet at 22,022 feet and Lake Mansarovar at 14,950 feet is said to be the highest fresh water lake in the world. The pilgrimage tour to Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar is a long
We visited Nepal when we left university in 2000 (Sept 2010 was the earliest date I could select to write this review) and were lucky enough to find Thakur at Himalaya Heart Day Tours shortly after arrival in Kathmandu. We trekked the Annapurna range from Jomson to Pokhara. Not the most strenuous of Nepali treks, but challenging for us, and it was embarrasing how much fitter than us Thakur was! Thakur is a very intelligent and knowledgeable guide, and I can't recommend him and his company highly enough, they really do take care of you as a valued customer. He has stayed in touch with me since 2000, and I commend him also as a businessman.
Himalaya Heart Day Tours will totally make you feel back at home!!! I had the honour to have Shital accompany my friends and I throughout our 20 days of volunteer and recreation trip in Nepal. Shital was really warm and hospitable, and this is exactly what we need when we were in a foreign country, when we were unable to communicate with the locals. One memorable incident was during a strike, where shop houses were all closed and there wasn't a single soul on the streets. But Shital stayed very calm and composed, and was able to comprehend the whole situation in a way that ensured our safety while we were on the road. This really made us feel at ease. Shital and his family also provided us with an enormous amount of hospitality and warmth while we were doing volunteer work in the village that he lives in, and we were really very thankful for that! Thank you for the delicious meals, Kumar's chocolate cake, and not getting angry even when we were hungry late at night and you guys had to cook instant noodles for us! The service and safe environment that Himalaya Heart Day Tours provides is really like no others, and you would really feel at home with their excellent service
We used Himalayan Heart to book a 3 day trek around the mountains in Pokara. The tour operator, Shital, arranged return flights from Kathmandu, hotels in Pokara, all accommodation and food; he also introduced us to our trekking guide, Hari. I cannot fault one aspect of the trek. All of the logistical challenges were met without a single glitch. Our guide, Hari, was absolutely charming and went out of his way to accommodate us at every turn.
All in all, having the little details arranged for us saved a potentially large headache, enabling us to really enjoy the relatively short time that we had to trek. I am struggling to think how we could have made the trip without Shital's help.
