After arrival to Lhasa and sightseeing of Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka, Jokhang Temple, colorful Barkhor Markets & Drepung Monastery you will set out on high altitude Everest adventure tour with our expert local Tibetan guide. Leaving Lhasa by best 4 wheel drive you will drive past through picturesque landscape, Tibetan settlements where nomadic herdsmen can be seen wandering across the wide arid Tibetan Plateau. This adventure overland journey takes you over several 5000+ meter high mountain passes amidst most amazing mountain views including majestic Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Shisapangma and many other numerous peaks. Overland adventure ride also takes you through Shigatse (Xigatse) which has significant Tashilumpu monastery and many interesting sites.

Itinerary in Detail:

Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa and transfer to hotel

Day 02-03: Sightseeing in Lhasa (Potala palace, Drepung monastery, Sera Monastery & Jokhang temple)

Day 04: Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok (the turquoise Lake)

Day 05: Morning visit to Kumbum monastery, afternoon drive to Shigatse and visit Tashilhumpo monastery.

Day 06: Drive to Shegar and overnight at Guest house.

Day 07: Drive to Tingri and overnight at guest house

Day 08: Drive to Rongbuk (Everest Base Camp)

Day 09: Drive from Rongbuk to Nyalam overnight at guesthouse.

Day 10: Drive from Nyalam to Zhangmu & then to Kathmandu

Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu

Day 12: Final Departure

Services Includes:

Standard accommodation in Lhasa with breakfast

Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa by four wheel drive (Land cruiser or A/C Bus)

Monastery entrance fees

A government licence holder English speaking Tibetan Guide during the tour.
