Holy Kailash Tour
Mt. Kailash claimed to be the pinnacle of the Hindu religious conglomeration is one of the highest mountains in Tibet at 22,022 feet and Lake Mansarovar at 14,950 feet is said to be the highest fresh water lake in the world. The pilgrimage tour to Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar is a long & challenging journey into a remote and secluded land where it is difficult to access due to the variable and extreme weather conditions, bad road and we need to make much preparation to ensure that we have a reasonable chance of reaching Kailash. We need to bring our own food and camping equipment. As per Chinese immigration policy, transportation (4WD jeep) and a Chinese/Tibetan guide is a must to hire from China/Tibet whereas we send our Nepalese staff for camping and cooking arrangements. All the camping/kitchen gears and food su plies need to be brought from Nepal. The Nepalese kitchen crew prepares different cuisines of choice for the travelers. While traveling to this part of the world will have a chance to encounter nomads herding their sheep or yak.
Time to Visit
The best time for visiting Kailash Mansarovar is between the middle of May to the middle of October. The weather is generally stable and visibility at its best during this time. Temperatures are cool during the day and below freezing at night.
