Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Annapurna Base Camp Departure Date: 02/03/2012 - 15/03/2012
This is another classic trek relatively shorter and can be completed in as little as 14 days. The trek starts at Nayapul and takes us to the Base Camp of the Annapurna South. The view along the trails is superb. Walking slowly and passing through terraced farms we reach Machhapuchare base camp. Some of the best of Nepal's diversity is compressed into less than two weeks of walking. The huge south face of Annapurna (8090 m.) provides an impressive backdrop, while the closeness of 10 peaks over 6000 m. inspires a joy as a fitting highlight of this spectacular trek. With its superb views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, it is a great place to spend a day or two. We return to Phedi and catch our vehicle for Pokhara. This area is well developed with lodge facilities.
