Langtang Gosainkunda Trek

Langtang Gosainkunda Trek Departure Date: 14/04/2012-27/04/2012

This is a combination of beautiful treks taking us straight into some of the wildest and most picturesque areas of Nepal. Starting from the lovely hill town of Syabrubensi, our trek passes through beautiful conifer forests of the Langtang National Park on the way to the higher slopes. We cross over the high Alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyangin; the Sacred Lakes of the Hindus/Buddhist including Lake Gosainkunda (4380 m) and descend into Helambu via the Laurebina Pass (4610 m) to Ghopte (3430 m) until we reach Trake Gyang. Along this route you will have an opportunity to experience the whole range of Himalayan topography as the trailheads south through a lush green valley and mountain culture before returning to Kathmandu.

On Trek

Normally you will walk about 5-6 hrs a day. You will have plenty of time to stop for refreshments. Our guide will be there to assist you every step of the way during your trek. Your meals will be provided in teahouses according to your choice. Your guide will take your order from the menu and check in the kitchen that everything is fresh and well cooked. For accommodation you will be provided with a double room. Your guide will also act as your interpreter and be able explain about our culture and traditions and any other queries you may have. Our guides are well versed in English and their main duty is to help you in any way at all times. Our porter will be well equipped and insured. We want to you to feel safe and taken care of so that your trek is as enjoyable as possible.

Other Relevant Information

Nepal visa :

Tourist Visa for visiting Nepal for 30 days can be obtained from the Nepalese Embassy in your country or from the Immigration Counter at Nepal Entry Points (like Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu) on payment of US $ 40.00 (you will also need a passport size photograph).

Essentials you should bring:

i/ Good and comfortable trekking boots that are well worn in.

ii/ Warm socks for evening as well as light trekking socks for walking.

iii/ Warm clothes for the morning and evening.

iv/ Toiletries and medical kit.

v/ Couple of T-shirts and light trousers/shorts for the day.

vi/ Sun hat and warm hat

vii/ Sandals for evening.

viii/ Sunglasses.

ix/ Flash light or head torch.

x/ Swimming costumes

xi/ Suntan lotion

xii/ Small towel

xiii/ Warm sleeping bag

How to Book the service:

Having decided on your trek, 30% of the total Trek fee should be sent in advance. Details will be provided as to how you can do that.

How to pay the rest of amount

Final payment can be made on your arrival with US $travellers cheques, US$ cash or Visa/Mastercard credit card (note: paying by credit card incurs a 4% bank charge in Nepal).
