Jiri Everest Base Camp Trek

The Everest trekking is justifiably famous not only for its proximity to the world's highest mountain but also for its friendly Sherpa people. Pleasing villages, great variety of cultures and traditions, colorful festivals and monasteries are on the way. The Sagarmatha National Park is rich with flora and fauna, but the existence of the Yeti remains a mystery.
After a seven hours scenic drive to Jiri, we follow the spectacular route via Solukhumbu area through the heart of fine Sherpa villages, each village having something new to offer. It offers an ample chance to explore beautiful forest, farming countryside's and several monasteries situated at high elevation on the way to Lukla. Once we passed Lukla, we climb on to Namche, the main trading village of the Khumbu area continuing via Tengboche monastery to Pheriche and Lobuche. The trek has got several numbers of attractions, chief of which are the spectacular scenery, the unique culture of the Sherpa people of the Solukhumbu, the region where Mt. Everest and its attendant lesser peaks are located.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel by our representative from TIA.

Day 02 : Drive from Kathmandu to Jiri (1905m/5768ft) that takes 6-7 hours to reach there and overnight stay at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 03 : Trek from Jiri to Shivalaya (1767m/5350ft) that takes 6-7 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 04 : Trek from Shivalaya to Bhandar (2194m/ 6507ft) that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 05 : Trek from Bhandar to Sete (2573m/ 7791ft)  that takes 6-7 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 06 : Trek Sete to Junbesi (2675m/ 8099ft)  that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 07 : Trek from Junbesi to Taksindo (2971m/ 8996) that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 08 : Trek from Taksindo to Khari khola (2050m/ 6207ft) to that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge.

Day 09 : Trek from Khari Khola to Payu (2939m/ 8899ft that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 10 : Trek from Payu to Phakding (2610mtrs/8563ft) that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 11 : Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft) that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 12 : This is rest day for acclimatization. We spend whole day around Namche Bazaar. We visit to Monastery and museum to know the tradition and culture of Sherpa. From here we see first glimpse of Everest.

Day 13 : Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m/12664ft) that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 14 : Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m/14468ft) that takes 5:30-6:30 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 15 : This is second acclimatization day. We hike around Chhukung valley and we return to Dingboche and relax at night.

Day 16 : Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m/16108ft) that takes 5-6 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 17 : Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5153m/16906ft) that takes 4-5 hours walking, overnight at lodge/.

Day 18 : Trek Everest Base Camp (5363m/17595ft) and back to Gorakshep that takes 5-7 hours walking, overnight at Gorakshep. For Everest Base Camp early in the we started to trek and observe the beauty of Everest and other mountains and snatch good memory by taking snaps of Everest.

Day 19 : Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545m/18192ft) and then trek back down to Pheriche (4280m) that takes 6-7 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 20 : Trek from Pheriche to Khumjung (3753m) that takes 4-5 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 21 : Trek from Khumjung (3753m) to manjoo (2800m) that takes 4-5 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 22 : Trek from Manjoo to Lukla that takes 4-5 hours walking, overnight at lodge/guest house/camp.

Day 23 : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu in the morning & Transfer to hotel, afternoon free day.

Day 24 : Departure from Nepal.
