Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

This is another classic trek relatively shorter and can be completed in as little as 14 days. The trek starts at Nayapool and takes us to the Base Camp of the Annapurna South. The view along the trails is superb. Walking slowly and passing through terraced farms we reach Machapuchere base camp. Some of the best of Nepal's diversity is compressed into less than two weeks of walking. The huge south face of Annapurna (8090 m.) provides an impressive backdrop, while the closeness of 10 peaks over 6000 m. inspires a joy as a fitting highlight of this spectacular trek. With its superb views of Machapuchere, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, it is a great place to spend a day or two. We return to Phedi and catch our vehicle for Pokhara. This area is well developed with lodge facilities.

Highlight of the Trip

The terraced farmland above Pokhara - Visit the inner sanctuary of Annapurna panoramic views of 10 peaks over 6000m - Views of Dhaulagiri and the Kali Gandaki from Poon Hill - Surrounded by a ring of impressive mountains, including Annapurna I 8091m (26540ft.) - The combination of pretty villages and farmland at Ghandruk, set against the panorama of high peaks beyond makes this one of the most pleasing treks-Natural hot spring at Jhinudanda. Both mid hills (Gurungs, Magars, Chhetris, Bahaman) and Trans Himalayan semi-Tibetan cultural experiences
