Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing
The peak is located in Annapurna Sanctuary in the Annapurna Himal. Tent Peak is locally known as Tharpu Chuli. It was nicknamed "Tent Peak" by Jimmy Roberts in 1956. It is situated at an altitude of 5663mt. above the sea level. Located in the heart of Annapurna Sanctuary, the peak is among the few snow-clad summits at this height in Nepal. This peak is best suitable for new comers in Peak Climbing. Besides this, it combines with glacier travel and climbing tip toeing on on knife ridges. This peak climbing offers un paralleled view of majestic Annapurna Sanctuary and breathtaking circle ogf hanging glaciers. Normally the route follows the North-West Ridge to the summit; but it can also be climbed through the South-East Ridge.
