All my adult life I dreamed of going to Mount Everest and attempting to climb one of the most challenging mountains in the World. I was never able to fulfill that dream until I turned 52. With great excitement and some apprehension I signed up with Thakur as our guide to take us to Mount Everest Base Camp (EBC). What a trip!! I cannot thank Thakur enough for his excellent guidance and hospitality. Thakur took care of our group of 3 from the moment we landed in Kathmandu to the day we flew out to go home. During the trek. Thakur took care of our accommodations and made sure we stayed in the best tea houses (safest), pointed out every peak in the Himalayan Kumbu region, monitored each of us for altitude reactions and provided fun and relaxation in the evenings. Being in the Himalayas and accomplishing a dream of a lifetime will always be with me and I can say that Thakur made it a pleasant experience. My experience taught me that you are never too old to realize a dream and I will never forget this challenge as long as I live. I cannot stress enough the benefits of using an experienced guide and Thakur is a very experienced guide in the Himalayas with over 8 years of guiding.
