Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, after meeting at the Kathmandu airport arrival hall, we will accompany you to your Kathmandu hotel. If your arrival time allows, we will have a trip briefing after you have checked in and gotten setteled. In the evening if you are scheduled on a late arrival, we will have our briefing the following morning at breakfast.
Our first day, we will go for a sightseeing tour of the major cultural heritage monuments in the Kathmandu valley. Our heritage tour in Kathmandu is a rich cultural, historical and spiritual immersion that takes us back to an ancient time when the Kathmandu valley used to be a lake. We visit Swoyambhunath (aka The Monkey Temple, Patan Durbar Square – a medieval palace square, Pashupatinath to see a Hindu cremation on the banks of the River Bagmati, and finally to Boudhanath – the largest Buddhist stupa in the region.
Following our full day exploration of the Kathmandu valley, we will now drive to Chitwan National Park. The drive to Chitwan is via a beautiful highway that takes us through some beautiful towns and surrounding countryside. Much of the ride is along the river, with lush landscapes and beautiful vistas. After about six hours, and a stop for lunch, we reach the village of Chitwan, near the national park, where we will stay overnight. We will plan our jungle itinerary for the following day.
Our day is filled with interesting jungle safari activities. We will explore the jungle and wildlife on an elephant safari, enjoy a jungle walk, a canoe ride, and visit the elephant breeding center,among other things. Our safari provides us with a unique opportunity to spot wild animals like the one-horned rhino, deer, wild boar, bears, and crocodiles regularly, and if we’re lucky the beautiful and very rare Bengal Tiger. We will complete our visit by attending a cultural show performed by the ethnic Tharu people of the area.
Today, we leave Chitwan for Bandipur. We have about a 3 hour drive on the road headed toward Pokhara. It is a beautiful drive back to Bandipur, an ancient and important historical trading center. . We will spend the day walking around town, enjoying the views, and visiting sites of important cultural and historic value.
Today we drive to Pokhara, a beautiful lake city 200 kilometers and 80 kilometers west of Kathmandu and Bandipur respectively. It’s a leisurely and scenic 2.5 hour drive, and we reach Pokhara with plenty of time for us to wander around the lake and have lunch. We will go for a sunset tour up to the World Peace Stupa. From there, we get not only a beautiful sunset view, but a magical view of the mountains, Lake Fewa and the entire Pokhara valley.
We will start our day very early in the morning in order to experience a spectacular mountain sunrise tour. First, we drive about half hour up the hill to Sarangkot. From there, we are treated to a breathtaking sunrise, with views of several of the most notable mountain peaks in the Annapurna region. We can see Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna I, II, III, IV as if they are right in front of us changing their colors as the sun rises. Later, we will drive down to Pokhara for breakfast and continue our exploration of the wonders in this beautiful city. We’ll go for a boat ride in Lake Fewa; visit Davis falls and continue on to Gupteswor Cave. The second half of the day will be at your leisure. We can spend it relaxing at the lake, or try some adventure sports, like paragliding, zip flying, bungee jumping for an extra cost.
Today it is time to head back to Kathmandu. We have about a 7 hour ride via tourist bus, or there is a flight option available at an extra cost. Once back in Kathmandu, the rest of the day is yours to spend how you choose.
Your final day of the tour. Relax, take a massage, find some art, music or other souvenirs to take home with you. Or just relax. The choice is yours, and we can provide you with recommendations for whatever you choose to do.
It is time to say goodbye. We will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the airport for your departure flight. Please be ready at your hotel three hours prior to your flight time.

I enjoyed the Nepal Exploration Tour with the company Himalaya Heart Treks & Expedition Ltd. The Cultural heritage tour in Kathmandu was very interesting. The guide in Kathmandu explained very well the history, culture and history of the Kathmandu valley. I really enjoyed the Jungle Safari, the canoe ride, the jungle walk and the visit to the Elephant Breeding and Training Centre. Hari was my guide for Pokhara and Bandipur. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, caring and kind. Hari paced the tour accordingly to my ability. He made sure that I would see everything in the itinerary and more. One of the highlights for me was watching the sunrise in Sarangkot and the views of mountain peaks in the Annapurna region. Hari named all the mountain peaks. I would highly recommend Hari as a tour guide. He explained the history, culture and other interesting fact of everything we have visited.

I had the pleasure of doing the Nepal Exploration Tour with Himalaya Heart Treks this November with our group of 11 pax, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable travel experiences we’ve ever shared. Our guide, Hari, was truly exceptional. He handled our group with so much patience, warmth, and professionalism. Even with 11 of us, all with different interests and energy levels, Hari made sure everyone felt included, comfortable, and well taken care of. His knowledge about Nepal’s history, culture, religion, and local lifestyle added so much depth to every place we visited.

Perfect holiday
We joined the Nepal Exploration Tour in October 2025 as a group of friends. Although we had plenty of experience with moderate to hard walks in Europe and Australia, this was our first time exploring Nepal in such depth, and the journey turned out to be far more meaningful than we ever expected.
Our trip began with an unseasonable monsoon outbreak, which caused delays and required significant adjustments to the itinerary. Despite this, the team handled everything smoothly and ensured we were always safe, comfortable, and well informed. Once the weather cleared, we continued our exploration—visiting cultural landmarks, scenic hill towns, local villages, and some truly breathtaking viewpoints.
Along the way, we absolutely loved the landscapes, the gentle walking trails, the welcoming people, and the rich cultural experiences that make Nepal so unique. Every day brought a new discovery—heritage sites, temples, traditional markets, mountain panoramas, and warm interactions with locals.
Midway through the journey, one of our group members unfortunately became ill due to a combination of altitude exposure in the higher regions and a chest infection. The guides arranged immediate assistance and evacuation with remarkable calmness and professionalism, ensuring their safety without disrupting the rest of the group.
The rest of our friends continued the tour and enjoyed the remaining scenic highlights and cultural experiences, returning with lifelong memories.
Despite the challenges of weather and illness, the tour was overall fantastic. What truly stood out was how the guiding team managed the unexpected. In travel—especially in Nepal—the real measure of a company is how they respond to adversity, and Raj and Hari who organaize this tour were extraordinary. Their care, leadership, and attention to detail made us feel safe and supported at all times.
We all agreed that if we could face another adventure together, we would happily return to Nepal with the same guiding team.
