Welcome to Nepal! A Himalaya Heart Treks representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, we’ll host a pre-trek briefing to discuss gear, permits, and finalize logistics.

Take an early morning scenic flight to Bhadrapur in eastern Nepal, followed by a long but picturesque drive to Taplejung via the hills of Ilam and Kanyam.

We start with a private jeep ride to Sekhathum, where the real trek begins. Hike through narrow gorges, bamboo forests, and high-hanging bridges to reach Amjilosa, a small Tibetan-influenced village.

Climb gradually through rhododendron forests and across waterfalls. The trail is peaceful and rich in biodiversity. Gyabla offers incredible mountain vistas and a sense of true remoteness.

Enter a more alpine environment as we hike toward Ghunsa, the largest and most developed village on the route. Here you’ll find Buddhist monasteries, mani walls, and friendly Sherpa hospitality.

Rest day to allow your body to adjust to the altitude. Optional side hikes around Ghunsa or visit the local monastery.

The trail ascends gradually along the Ghunsa River with stunning views of Jannu Peak and surrounding snow-capped giants. Khambachen is a windswept village nestled under dramatic cliffs.

The landscape becomes more rugged and stark. You’ll walk along glacial moraines and icy streams before arriving at Lhonak, your last overnight stop before Base Camp.

Cross over Selele La Pass and descend into the Kanchenjunga South Valley, reaching Cheram, a stunning and peaceful settlement.

Continue descending through thick forests and alongside cascading rivers. Enjoy the rich flora of the lower altitudes.

We leave the trails behind and drive through the beautiful hills of Ilam, famous for tea gardens. Spend a relaxing night in Kanyam, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Nepal."

A scenic drive takes you to Bhadrapur, where you catch a flight back to Kathmandu. Free time in the evening to explore Thamel or enjoy a farewell dinner.
