Highlights of the Everest Panorama Trek:
The Everest Panorama Trek is a fantastic option for those who want a taste of the Everest region’s awe-inspiring beauty and culture within a short timeframe. It’s a journey that offers both adventure and a deep connection to the natural and cultural heritage of Nepal.
The Everest Panorama Trek is a short yet beautiful exploration of the Everest Region. Everest Panorama Trek is short, yet very scenic, with spectacular views of the world's highest peaks such as Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and many others.
Everest Panorama Trek is very popular with first-time trekkers in Nepal or those limited in time. Although relatively easy in comparison to some of the other treks like Everest Base Camp Trek and Island Peak and Everest Base Camp Trek in Everest region, it still takes you up onto the high trails on the way to the final destination of Tengboche Monastery (3850m) and visits the beautiful Sherpa village of Khumjung along the way.
Everest Panorama Trek starts as we fly from Kathmandu to the tiny Lukla airstrip in the Khumbu region before commencing our trek up to Namche Bazaar and on to Tyangboche, finishing our trek at Khumjung village, a very authentic Buddhist settlement of Sherpa people. This trek is a great introduction to Sherpa country and its culture, while also providing some wonderful mountain views. The 500-year-old Thyangboche Monastery is a true highlight of the trek, set in almost surreal scenery and surrounded by mountains in the pristine wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park.
Himalaya Heart will look after you all the way. Our mountain guides have spent many years leading groups at high altitude and are well able to deal with any problems. Our teams are always well prepared, and we provide our porters and support staff with excellent equipment for travel into the mountains. Your trip leader will be paying careful attention to all clients and staff, making sure everyone stays as comfortable as possible and has the best chance of attaining their goals and completing the trip successfully.
Delays with Lukla flights: These can happen any time of year, but are especially likely around monsoon season (late May to early September). If your flight is delayed, Himalaya Heart Treks will reschedule you on the next possible flight. As conditions can change rapidly, this may be very soon after your scheduled departure, or on very rare occasions, it may be as much as a few days later. It is very difficult to predict. This can be pretty frustrating, but it is simply part of the journey to the Everest region. We strongly recommend you add at least a day or two to the end of your trip if you have an international connecting flight, to give yourself some flexibility in the case of any delays.
On your arrival at Kathmandu airport one of our team will pick you up to transfer you to your hotel. In the evening you will meet with your guide, and he will brief you about the trip and answer any questions you may have
Today is the sightseeing day in the Kathmandu. You visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites have reserved a special place in the lives of the people in the valley. Their art, culture, and architecture have preserved the beliefs of their respective religions for over a thousand years. Later there is time to shop and prepare for the trek.
Up early for the flight to the mountain airstrip of Lukla it takes around 40 minutes with some scenic views of hills and snow-capped mountains on the way..After our arrival at Lukla we begin our trek to Phakding We follow the east bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Passing by small settlements, before Phakding. Overnight stay at a lodge Phakding.
The trail today follows up the Dudh Koshi Valley, hiking through pine forest, crossing the river twice via small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo. Monjo is the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. After entering the park there is a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls with a lot of bio diversity on the way. We are rewarded with our first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful large village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) a buzzing center of trade where many tradespeople come to haggle and sell their wares.
Although we are not going as high as 5000 Meters, We still need to spend a day here fllowing our systems to get used to the higher altitude. Set in a beautiful natural amphitheater, Namche Bazaar is one of the most attractive settlements in the Khumbu Region. This is a good opportunity today to make short acclimatization treks. We go up to Khumjung, A lovely Sherpa Village above Namche visit the Everest View Hotel from where there are Wonderful Panoramic Views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, And Kwangde. Then back down to pick up on the atmosphere Namche provides.
We begin today by ascending towards Syangboche to Khumjung Village. There is a descent to Dudh Koshi River passing through some lovely old villages. The trail cuts through dense pine and fir forest, on the ascent to Tengboche. A beautiful place to stay, visit one of the oldest monasteries of this region, Tengboche Monastery. There are great views of the mountains from here, Overnight Lodge at Tengboche.
Trek to Khumjung village today. The trail meanders down to the river before a walk up to Khumjung. Khumjung is a special place, there is plenty of time to explore and enjoy the views of the mountainous surroundings. We also visit the monastery there.
Trek back to Monjo via Namche Bazar. Tracing the trail back will also be as fascinating as going up towards Tengboche.
Check out at the National Park check post and start the trek towards Lukla Today marks our final trek day in the mountains. The route follows the Dudhi Koshi River all the way back down to Lukla, where we spend our last night before an early morning flight the next day. It’s time for a farewell party: sample some regional chang (home-brewed rice beer) and learn some Sherpa dance steps to celebrate a successful trek.
After breakfast, it is time to leave this very special area for the flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival one of our team will be waiting at the airport for the transfer back to the hotel. An evening meal is often arranged on the last day.
Today its time to move on we hope you have had a great time with us and we would like to meet again in the future. If you are flying today.we will drop you at the airport as per your flight schedule or assist you with any other move.

Yes as long as you are reasonably fit his trek is suitable for any walker looking for something a little more cozy and comfortable a trek that provides stunning views of the Mt. Everest region. It does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. although, daily jugging or walking would be useful beforehand .The fitter you are the more able you are to enjoy the experience.
It is extremely unlikely the trek is low altitude with maximum height of 3810 meters. Mountain sickness can occur at altitudes normally above 5000 meters. We have also included a rest day for acclimatization.
Breakfast and dinner will be provided in the lodge you are staying in while lunch will be provided in restaurant on the way. The food is generally tasty on this trek and hygienic and often there is a good choice but don’t expect five star gourmet meals.
There are limited medical facilities on the route, but this trek does not take you to the more remote areas of the region. Our guides carry a full medical kit and are trained extensively on how to deal with most problems that may occur. If it is deemed you need evacuation to Kathmandu we will arrange this and cover the helicopter charges which we will reclaim from your insurers. It is mandatory you have insurance that covers you for this. Please read our terms and conditions of booking.
The tea houses and lodges on the Everest trail have a squat toilets, the more recently built lodges have western style toilets as well. We recommended you to purchase your own toilet paper and other required toiletries before the trek. Hot shower facilities are also available.
Yes lodges serve bottled, boiled and filtered water, which is generally safe but has to be paid for. Because of environmental reasons however we encourage our guests to use iodine and other purifying agents to treat water and to bring their own bottle.
We suggest you bring your own equipment. However, sleeping bags and down jacket can be loaned to you by us.Trekking poles can be very useful, if you are used to walking with them then take them with you, as you will probably find them useful especially on the way down. They are not essential though and the walk is manageable without them.
It is always better to consult your doctor if you have an existing medical condition. Otherwise we suggest you carry simple medicines such as Ibuprofen, Codeine, Paracetamol, Strepsils, anti diarrhea tablets.
