I chose the Pikey Peak Trek with Himalaya Heart Treks and Expedition because I wanted a short and less touristy trek, and it was the perfect choice. The trail was quiet, scenic, and full of cultural encounters. Our guide explained everything clearly and shared many stories about the Sherpa lifestyle. Standing on Pikey Peak and seeing Everest, Makalu, and Annapurna in one panorama was incredible. The company was well organized and very professional. I completed the Pikey Peak Trek with Himalaya Heart Treks and Expedition and it was one of the best trekking experiences I’ve had in Nepal. The views from Pikey Peak were absolutely breathtaking, with clear panoramas of Everest and many other Himalayan giants. Our guide was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about local culture and nature. The trek was peaceful and far less crowded than other Everest routes, which I really appreciated. We did the 3 passes with 6 friends trekking, Raj as guide, Shiva as assistant guide, 3 porters and Hari organising from KTM.
Himalayan Heart highly recommended by a friend who has used them several times.
Initially delayed by weather, Hari rearranged flights ahead of other delayed trekkers. Raj assessed our level and encouraged us as we made up lost days, always positively supportive and great company.
Unforeseeable health issues in the party were dealt with appropriately, flexibly and safely.
Raj and Shiva were excellent company.
Hari changed flights and organised transport and side trips before and after the main trek seamlessly.
Couldn't recommend more highly.

We undertook the three passes trek as a group of friends. We have done many moderate to hard walks in Europe and Australia. However none of us have any experience at altitude/ The start of our trip was delayed by an unseasonable Monsoon outbreak and required significant re engineering to get us to Lukla then a brutal day travelling to Namchee Bazar. We loved the scenery and the walking and the people along the trail. We were able to bypass the first pass due to heavy snow. Others of our group completed it but found it to be very difficult. Unfortunately at Gorashep one of our party developed significant symptoms of altitude sickness compounded by a chest infection and we had to be evacuated.
The rest of our party continued and completed Chola pass and then returned via the Gykyo trail.
Overall the experience was fantastic.. Despite the travails of illness and weather the guides were magnificent and took great care of us. I think the measure of a guiding trekking company in this extreme environment is how they manage adversity. Raj and Shiva were fantastic at all times and could not have provided a better experience. We all would definitely go back if we could face another high level trek.

Went on a 6-day Mardi Himal Trek from Pokhara, exploring the surrounding mountains. We were initially concerned that with only three days we might not get the chance to go off the beaten track. However, our guide Hari took us along quiet mountain trails and steep ridgelines that seemed to be used only by locals — all while he barely broke a sweat! Very impressive.
We stayed in friendly and welcoming guesthouses, which were well resourced, comfortable, and served good quality food throughout the trek. The views of the mountains along the Mardi Himal route were stunning, and the peaceful trails made the experience even more special.
Our only complaint was that we wished we could have trekked longer! Before the trek ended, Hari shared several great suggestions for longer treks next time, which we’re already excited about.
When we return to Nepal, we will definitely trek again with Hari and Himalaya Heart Treks. Highly recommended!

n 2003 my husband and I trekked with Hari for the first time – Around Annapurna. First time ever to visit Nepal, first trek ever, no clue – and then we met Hari and he got us hooked to the country and the Himalaya. Since then we keep coming back and back and back – always trekking with HHT&E.
Until now trekked Langtang/Gosainkunda Lakes, Jiri to Namche Bazaar, Annapurna (2nd time) and Everest Panorama.
This year we went together with our 25years old son and trekked again in the Everest region. We chose shoulder season to avoid the crowds.
Hari picked us up at the airport, a nice small hotel in KTM awaited us, all Lukla flight tickets were booked in advance, we even got a quick look at our gear before we left.
Hari is not only a perfect organizer but also the most warm and friendly person you could wish for. While making your trek an unforgettable memory Hari is always good-humored and relaxed. To trek with him is like hiking with a friend. He completely adjusts to his clients speed, interests and needs. His knowledge about the trekking regions, the country, religion and history is amazing, fun and very informative. His English is good and if you ask you’ll be taught a little Nepali, too, if you feel like it :-)
From other trekkers we know that the other HHT&E guides are great, too. From own experience we rate Hari, since only 1 time we went with someone else from HHT&E (who was very nice, organized, helpful and funny, too!). For us he is the „Heart“ in Himalaya Heart Treks & Expeditions :-)

What an amazing experience! This was my first trek in Nepal and my goal was to see Mt Everest. With Hari's expert guidance, we were able to view Mt Everest at all the vantage points we visited where Mt Everest was able to be seen. The trip started off with a bit of a delay due to weather and we were not able to fly into Lukla to start our trek. However, the weather cleared the next day and we were on our way. Having missed the first day, Hari already had 3 back up plans to help us realize our dreams. We decided to wait one more day to see if we could get a flight and it paid off. Once in Lukla, Hari would brief us on the daily plan and the next days plan so we knew exactly what to expect. Hari is very respected in Kathmandu, a well as on the trail to Everest Base Camp, Island Peak, Ana Purna, or whatever your destination might be. We stood in all the best tea houses and were served the best food. Hari has been doing this for 20ish years and he knows his business. Our porters were awesome! All along the trail, Hari would stop and talk to other guides and porters and they all want to be associated with and work with Hari and his organization. We were never in need on this trek. Hari has a keen eye for trekkers with different levels of endurance and was able to help us stay together and function as a team. We were very well taken care of. I just cannot say enough about Hari. I will be back for another trek and I won't go with anyone except Hari!

We completed the 14 day Manaslu Circuit with Govinda guiding us and Bularam as our porter. We had an absolutely incredible time! Everything about the trip was amazing.
We initially went into Himalaya Heart as a friend had had a great experience with Govinda as her guide, and on meeting Shittal and then Govinda we knew we wanted to go with them. They were very warm, welcoming and professional. They gave us a detailed idea of what the trek would involve and Govinda helped us find some good quality gear in Kathmandu before the trek.
The two week trek was the highlight of my three months travelling and I can’t recommend visiting the Himalayas enough! The mountains and the villages were passed through were beyond anything I’ve experienced before. I’ll never forget this experience, and it was made so much better by the brilliant Govinda and Bularam!
Govinda was the best guide I could have hoped for. I want to come back to Nepal one day and do another trek - and I now only want to do this with Govinda! He had brilliant knowledge of the mountains and people who lived there. He is not only a brilliant guide but also funny and kind. I now count him as a friend. I hope we meet him again one day.
Bularam was a brilliant porter. I was struggling with my bag on the pass day, so him and Govinda insisted on taking turns carrying my bag for me. Bularam also prepared us a beautiful plate each day, and helped with the cooking at tea houses. I also enjoyed his singing when we were walking!!
I would recommend Himalaya Heart Treks, Govinda and Bularam to anyone considering doing a trek. I know that when I visit Nepal again I will only go with them! If you are considering the Manaslu circuit - definitely do it!!

From the very beginning Himalayan Heart were great to deal with. Shitan (Manager), Rajendra (Guide) and the team provided my partner and I with an unforgettable experience trekking the Manaslu Circuit in April this year. On arriving in Kathmandu, we had actually already set our sites on walking Annapurna Circuit, but Shitan and the team were very helpful in designing an itinerary that better suited our needs, trekking ability/experience level and budget (their quote stacked up quite well versus the competition).
Both Rajendra and Ishor (Porter) were from the region where the Manaslu Circuit commenced, so they had great local knowledge - this ultimately came in handy when our bus couldn’t get to the starting line due to heavy rains and Rajendra helped us to walk in whilst avoiding some of the roads. Raj was very knowledgeable, calm and thoughtful - such a nice guide and friend to spend 17 days with! We really enjoyed sitting down to play cards with our little team each night. We would happily recommend Himalayan Heart and Raj as your guide for any trek across Nepal.

We completed the Manaslu circuit trek with our amazing guide Hari and porter Kapil. I believe it was down to his knowledge of the mountains and the care and attention he gave us that we where able to complete the trek.
Nothing was ever too much to ask and he provided information and guidance whenever we needed. I would highly recommend Hari as a guide and Himalaya Heart.
Kapil our porter was very friendly and helpful, he took the time to get to know us and helped however he could, I would also highly recommend him.

We chose to do the Manaslu Circuit/Larkya La Pass trek which we customised to take 12 days with one rest day and a travel day at the start and end of the trek.
On arrival into Kathmandu we were greeted by Krishna who was friendly, welcoming and most importantly able to assist us in getting to our hotel.
While on the trek we had a guide called Hari. He has been in the business for over 20 years and therefore has a wealth of experience in both hiking, altitude, Nepali knowledge and tea house experience. He ensured throughout the trek that we had up to date advice on what to eat, what pace to walk to prevent altitude sickness as well as companionship and laughter.
The food from the tea houses was nothing short of excellent! Varied and tasty, served quickly and always with such politeness!
Our porter was called Kapil. He was incredibly hard working, efficient and tried very hard to get involved in speaking English. He would always greet us with a smile and was ever ready to take on the challenge of the next day. Hari our guide was always ensuring that Kapil was happy and comfortable, which for us was really sweet and showed a real team effort within the company itself.
I would recommend this trekking company and especially Hari as a guide due to the positive experience we had. I will definitely be spreading this through work of mouth to friends and family back home!

I did Manaslu Circuit as a group of 5 with Raj as guide and Vishnu as porter. Both were simply excellent.
Raj was very knowledgeable of the area and clearly very experienced - he looked after us very well and made sure we had a great trip.
I twisted my ankle on the second day and he reorganised the schedule without a pause to allow me to finish the circuit and I'm eternally grateful for this.
This was my second trip with Himalaya Heart and I couldn't recommend highly enough.

Completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek last week with Raj as our guide and Vishnu as porter and had a truly wonderful time.
Raj is incredibly patient, kind and very knowledgable about the area’s history, wildlife and culture. He was happy to indulge me in my bird fascination and helped me to spot quite a few!
The accommodation on the trail was very comfortable and well organised.
I would 100% recommend Raj, Vishnu and Himalaya Heart to anyone considering a trek in Nepal and will certainly choose them in future when I return! :)

I hiked the Manaslu Circuit in April 2025 with 4 friends. We were guided by Raj with Vishnu as our porter. The hike started in Machhakhola and followed the Bhudi Gandeki river up to Larke Pass. The views were stunning. Each time we went round a bend in the valley, we were given a fresh view at the towering mountains in the Himalayas.
Both Raj and Vishu were incredibly friendly and polite. When the days were getting tougher, it always boosted my spirit when they greeted us in the mornings or to see Vishu waiting with our bag at the next point to rest.
Raj is an excellent guide and is incredibly knowledgeable. He kept us safe along the trail, warning us of areas prone to landslides and was able to impart knowledge about the local cultures, wildlife and even sourced some wild berries we could safely eat.
When one of our group sprained their ankle early into the trip, Raj was able to make alternative arrangements for accommodation and adjust the schedule.
Vishnu is incredible hard working. We started off with relatively little in the porter's bag, but when the other person in the group sprained their ankle more stuff had to go in. Vishnu carried it all in his stride.
When the group started to develop different paces either through injury of fatigue, Vishu was able to act as a second guide to get some of us to the next destination.
It was my first time on a trip like this and would happily travel with Raj and Vishnu again.

We had a wonderful trip with great guidance from Raj, sharing his knowledge of the mountains along the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Raj, Vishnu, and Himalaya Heart to people considering a trek in Nepal.

Just back from the Poon Hill / Annapurna Panorama trek with my husband (honeymoon trip!!) and our guide Hari and porter Sudip.
We originally planned to do the Langtang Valley trek but the late monsoons meant there were landslides and avalanches and roads not safe for driving.
This was really disappointing but Hari immediately gave us another option that would be safe and still tick the boxes for the trip we wanted.
Things that mightve been stressful confusing and difficult all ran really smoothly with Hari in charge. Also any random question or query or wish that popped into our heads Hari made it all come true almost instantly. He is meticulous, caring, genuinely interested, experienced, professional, always happy and you can tell he loves the mountains!
The trek was easy to moderately difficult, with lots of steps. Some days we walked 16km with a lot of elevation gain. We walked through the most beautiful jungle forest as well as valleys rivers sunrises sunsets wildlife, saw interesting local culture and best of all the most stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range including the iconic Fishtail and a few more eight thousanders in the area.
The accommodation was comfortable and clean, sometimes basic and sometimes more luxury, but the food and hospitality was always great. If you go get ready for lots of dal bhat, delicious and a little bit different in each guesthouse.
I felt so lucky and grateful to be in the Himalayas, a lifelong dream of mine and im already planning my next trek with Hari, maybe a more challenging one next time.
Thanks to Hari for making it possible, I see now why my friend recommended him and if anyone asks i will for sure recommended him and the very professional and pleasant porter Sudip too.

I had a great trek on Annapurna with Bolram, my guide. From the beginning, the support from the staff at "Himaliaya Heart Treks" was great. I didn't have to worry about anything. Even suggestions and ideas were taken into account. Among other things, we skipped a stage at the end so that we had an extra day in Pokhara. I was a little skeptical about booking directly with an agency in Nepal instead of through a tour operator in Germany. But the support was professional in every respect and I felt well looked after in all matters.
Nepal is definitely worth a trip. The nature and the people there are simply incredible. I had a great trek and will definitely come back
